Dear Friends of New Windows,
 
If you have one of my English classes during the week of April 27 to May 1st, you will have a unique opportunity; My father is coming to visit China.
 
My father is a successful engineer.  He has planned and built many buildings over his career.  He also designs and builds aircraft.  One of his planes (the Pursang) is presently built by Airdale Aircraft Inc.  But maybe the most interesting thing about my Dad is that he has his own Bluegrass band.
 
For many years his band Blue Dove has played music all over the Western United States.  They have done regular concerts and also many charity appearances.  Some of his songs tell of the early days of settling the West.  They have been adopted into the Smithsonian museum in Washington D.C.
 
So if you have one of my classes, I am going to bring my father and his guitar to school.  This will be your chance to speak to him about his adventurous life, or just enjoy some of his old time Bluegrass music.  Dad is a very kind and open gentleman, I think you will like him a lot.
