★ Professional Teachers
Graduates are from teacher training colleges (who majored in English education) and are taught by English speaking Chinese teachers with at least three-years teaching experience. Foreign experts in cultural and educational fields are also occasionally employed.
English speaking Chinese teachers have received the New Course Standard Training for Foreign Language Teaching (Research Press and People’s Education Press) and have mastered modern foreign language teaching methods and skills, developing orientation and training goals.
Body language, pictures, music rhythm, in-kind performance, multi-media coursework, etc. and teaching assistant methods are employed in an effort to combine education with recreation.
The course is designed with students’ welfare at its base, with the aim of improving language capability and fostering students’ interest in learning English.
Foreign teachers are employed from Canada, America, Britain, Australia and New Zealand – all countries that consider English as their native language. They teach the students both correct and idiomatic English, working on pronunciation, accents and expressions. By creating an interactive English teaching environment, students learn to think in English, which should be very useful for the whole of the student’s life. With all language learning, cultural differences become apparent, but knowledge fosters good relationships, which in turn promotes greater understanding of English speaking countries.
